Balancing career and motherhood is often seen as an impossible challenge—but is it? Between managing projects, meeting deadlines, and raising a family, the workload is real. Yet, every day, working moms prove that success in both worlds isn’t just possible—it’s inspiring.
And what better time than April 7th to celebrate all the incredible women around us—whether as mothers, colleagues, leaders, or trailblazers—who inspire and shape our lives every day.
As we wrap up Women's History Month and celebrate the many contributions of women, we turn our focus to those who balance the rewarding yet challenging roles of both mother and professional. It's a dynamic that many of our coworkers navigate daily- excelling in their careers while being present and loving mothers.
Today, we highlight the experiences of some of these incredible women at V-Mobile.
Meet Susanna: Mastering QA and Motherhood for 10+ Years Like a Pro!
Have you ever met someone who seems to have unlocked the cheat codes to life? The people who somehow manage to excel in work and university, raising not just one but two energetic kids—all without compromising one on another? We've cracked the mystery, and the answer isn't superpowers (although let's be honest, it sure seems like it).
Meet Susanna, our QA specialist, who spends her days catching software bugs and her evenings keeping up with her wonderful young boys. How does she manage it all? Let's find out!

As Susanna shares:
“Being a working mother is not easy, but when you have a strong desire to manage both, anything is possible. Over time, you realize that work is not just a responsibility — it also empowers you, making you a happier and more confident mother. Working moms often experience mixed emotions: when you work for long hours, you miss your family, and when you’re at home, you sometimes miss working. But this very dynamic helps you plan your time better, manage your daily rhythm effectively, and, most importantly, ensure that neither your family nor your work suffers.”
It’s no secret that working moms face their fair share of challenges, but Susanna’s approach is simple: do everything with joy.
“As a mother of two energetic boys, I spend most of my day taking care of them. Sometimes, I have to leave them alone, which is a big challenge. However, my biggest test was balancing university studies, self-education, and professional growth all at the same time. Despite the workload, I did it with joy because it motivated me. When you truly love what you do, even challenges become opportunities for growth.”
And what better way to discover motherhood tips than to learn from those who’ve mastered it? Here’s Susanna’s advice for other working moms:
“Let go of the idea of being a “perfect mom” – There is no such thing as a perfect mother, but there is a happy mother, whose joy fills her children’s lives with positivity.
Don’t blame yourself – Moms often feel guilty for working too much or not doing everything perfectly. But remember, working can have a positive impact, making you stronger and setting a great example for your children.
Plan your time wisely – Working mothers learn to use their time efficiently. With proper planning, you can make time for both your children and yourself.
Take care of yourself – When you are happy, your family is happy too. So don’t forget to set aside time for yourself.”
And as a final note, our colleague reminds us that:
“Being a happy and confident mother is not only beneficial for your children but also helps you grow as an individual. 💛”
This positive outlook truly shows how everything becomes possible when you approach life with love and balance. With that in mind, let's now turn our focus to the next mother, who is yet to combine motherhood and career.
Welcome Viktoria: Navigating Maternity Leave and Career Journey
Currently on maternity leave, Viktoria is preparing for an ultimate multitasking challenge: balancing motherhood and her career journey as a Project manager.

If you think handling stakeholders is tough, try negotiating with a newborn at 3 AM!
With experience in both of these challenges, Viktoria shares her insights on navigating this exciting new chapter:
💬 How do you manage both work and motherhood?
“Right now, I’m on maternity leave, but soon, I’ll be balancing my career and motherhood. Moms are superheroes—we do everything and take care of everyone! My approach is to prioritize, plan ahead, and stay flexible because no two days are the same with a baby.”
💬 What has been the biggest challenge, and how have you overcome it?
“My biggest challenge has been staying connected to my career while focusing on my baby. It’s hard seeing others progress while you hit pause, but I remind myself that being the “perfect employee” isn’t always realistic—being the best mom for my child is what truly matters. I keep learning at my own pace and trust that I’ll return to work stronger.
And, of course, raising a child builds huge patience—an essential skill for any Project Manager! Motherhood definitely reveals hidden talents.”
💬 What advice would you give to other working moms?
“Don’t be too hard on yourself. Prioritize what truly matters, accept help (even small support from family makes a difference), and remember that self-care isn’t selfish. Also, being part of a company that values both career and family is a lifetime achievement.”
As you might have guessed, Viktoria is approaching motherhood the same way she handles projects—with a solid plan, a lot of patience and love.
Similar is also our next colleague's approach. Have you ever considered that the skills you use at work could actually help in raising children? Well, Tatev discovered just that!
Product Mom’s Perspective: Meet Tatev: Balancing Career and Motherhood with Confidence!

As she states:
“Balancing work and motherhood can be a demanding challenge, but after 12 years in my career, I’ve come to realize that being a product person and being a mom have more in common than one might think. The skills required for both roles align in a way that creates a perfect synergy.”
Turns out that at the heart of it all, success comes down to three key principles:
“Nurturing with Heart and Dedication
Whether it’s nurturing a product or raising a child, doing what you love with genuine care makes all the difference. The passion you put into your work and family life reflects in the outcomes - whether it’s a thriving career or a happy, confident child.
Mastering the Art of Balance
Prioritization, time management, and delegation are essential. It’s about knowing when to focus on what and when to lean on others for support. Instead of filling your schedule with endless meetings, consider which ones can be an email. Rather than micromanaging and checking every detail, trust your team while ensuring key results are met. Similarly, instead of spending 30 minutes on taking your child to some class or telling how important reading is, make it a shared experience and guide with your example - read together over lunch in the park for 30 minutes or discuss a book while enjoying an ice- cream.
Always Growing, Always Learning
Both motherhood and product management require ongoing learning and adaptability. As your child grows, their needs change - just like products evolve over their lifecycle. The key is to embrace change, develop new skills, and refine your approach, ensuring that both your child and your career flourish while you continue to grow into the best version of yourself for them!”
As we reflect on these principles, one thing becomes clear: the journey of balancing work and motherhood is an ongoing process, filled with both triumphs and challenges. But at its core, it’s about finding harmony between the two, knowing when to give your all and when to take a step back, always nurturing the things that matter most.
As Tatev concludes:
“There will always be sleepless nights, demanding deadlines, and moments of self-doubt. But through it all, embracing love, balance, and growth will not only make you a better mom but also a stronger professional. And in the end, isn’t that what every working mom truly strives for? 😊”
Now is the time for a beautiful ending to all of these beautiful stories.
To all the working moms out there – your commitment to both your family and career doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s a true testament to the incredible strength and resilience you have. You are the backbone of so many things, and your dedication makes the world a better place. Thank you for all that you do!
